“Volunteers Are Treated Like Dirt By Management” RNLI Faces Toxicity Claims On 200th Anniversary

Crewmembers from across Britain have accused the RNLI of harbouring a toxic culture of bullying, according to the Mail Online. From covering up sexism and assaults to forcing out volunteers, the RNLI is facing a plethora of controversial accusations. It comes on the day of its 200th anniversary. TalkTV’s Jeremy Kyle and Nicola Thorp speak to former crewmembers Andy Hibbs and Heidi Bakewell to talk about their experiences of being volunteers at the organisation. In a statement, the RNLI said: “We dispute claims made by Mail Online and are disappointed they have deliberately tried to diminish our 200th anniversary. “They have chosen to rehash some mainly historic stories to create a false impression of our charity - one that most of our people just do not recognise. “The RNLI takes allegations and concerns raised by volunteers and staff very seriously and has processes in place to ensure these are heard and investigated.” Click here for more from TalkTV https://t
