Streets and basements are flooded, cars are submerged, and traffic is paralyzed. There were no reports of casualties. On the morning of November 2, heavy rain and hail hit the coastal cities of Saudi Arabia. The Met Office had issued a red weather warning yesterday. Dammam, the country’s fifth largest city, was particularly hard hit. On social networks, residents post the horrific consequences of the bad weather. The hailstones were the size of a small apple. The hail caused serious damage to the glass facades of stores and also broke car windows. In some places, the precipitation led to flooding. Several cars were flooded. Authorities advised residents to stay away from low-lying areas.
