Sewing for Fun: Drafting a Jacket (EP1)

In this video I start the process of of making my own Jacket entirely by hand as I don’t own a sewing machine. This video focuses on drafting and making many mockups, as well as having some fun designing. I draft my pattern on Photoshop using my Wacom Cintiq and following: ’The “Keystone“ Jacket and Dress Cutter. A Treatise on Jackets, Dresses and Other Garments for Women’ by Charles Hecklinger I create my mockups out of unbleached cotton muslin and black thread. I also learned some hand stitching techniques from ’Household Sewing With Home Dressmaking’ by Bertha Banner Shoutout to Bernadette Banner for being a huge inspiration:
