Russian Cup of Snow and Ice Sculpture “Zimniy Vernissage“ is the most prestigious international competition in sphere of ice and snow sculpture in Russia. For the third time the Competition was hosted by Perm, and it can be accounted to the fact that the history of the festival movement in Perm extends back over more than twenty years, apart from that Perm school of ice carving is one of the best in the country. The main competition of the Cup took place from 15 through to 21 January 2017, it gathered 20 teams from 14 countries of the world who showed mastery of the highest level, and proved again that snow and ice sculpture is a real art. Russian Cup “Zimniy Vernissage“ is a competition of award-winning specialists, its participants can be only laureates, winners and prize-takers of Russian and foreign ice and snow sculpture competitions.
