Emergency services in the Houston area say they are responding to reports of damaged cars stuck after the storm swept through the area. Structural damage from the tornado in Pasadena, about 15 miles southeast of Houston, is “catastrophic,“ according to the local police chief. “In my 25 years here, this is probably the most damage I’ve seen,“ Chief Josh Brugger said outside the city’s destroyed animal shelter, where two dogs were injured.
