30 minutes ago⚠️This is a shock! 18,000 people affected in Rio de Janeiro as a result of floods!

A series of storms in the border areas of the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil caused flooding that affected more than 18,000 people and left hundreds homeless. In the upper part of Brazil’s Das Velas River, 30 kilometers upstream from Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais state, with a population of 2.5 million people, two-thirds of the houses were flooded due to rising water levels in the river. People living in low-income areas suffer from floods every summer. Many cannot forget the three terrible months when their streets and houses were under water in late 2009 and early 2010, when the elements once again disturbed their peace. Due to the illegal occupation of lands on the same level as the river, including brick houses, they are periodically flooded, the local authorities claim. Flooding also occurs in other poor and not-so-poor areas, as well as in other Brazilian metropolises.
