“Sound and Movement“, 1957. Shot on 16mm film. “Sound and Movement“ is narrated by Barbara Mettler and explores the possibilities that abound in using sound in conjunction with music or creating sound based on movement. She says, “Movement creates sound, and it’s easy to make your own music if you just let the sounds come out of your movement“. This ideology is examined via the framework of the pulse of the breath and expression of the self through sound combined with movement. -- Barbara Me
