Residents of Priverno, a small town in central Italy, were caught off guard by a strong hailstorm that battered the area on Saturday afternoon. The hailstones, some as large as golf balls, damaged cars, windows, and roofs, leaving some areas looking like a winter wonderland. According to local reports, the hailstorm lasted for about 30 minutes and was accompanied by strong winds and lightning strikes. Many residents were left stranded as roads and streets became flooded with hail, making driving impossible. Emergency services were quickly mobilized to help those in need. Fortunately, there were no reports of any serious injuries, but the damage caused by the hailstorm was significant.
