M/S of people looking at small planes to buy; commentator talks of this being the age of H.P. (hire purchase). C/U of a sign saying ’Horses on H.P. Terms! Any horse taken in part exchange’. Two young girls in riding gear and a man (presumably their father) are shown various horses at these stables in Wickford, Essex; one of the girls shakes her head as a dark horse’s teeth are examined. A groom climbs onto a horse and rides it around the paddock as the customers and dealer William Foyle watch. The horse takes some jumps and the older girl nods her approval; she then has a go on the horse. William Foyle and the girls’ father walk over to a desk; C/U of William filling out a Hire Purchase Proposal Form. He folds the form up and gives it to the father. M/S of the girl still riding around the paddock.
