The Beatles - Day Tripper (with lyrics) 1965 [HQ]

Official music video with excellent quality picture and audio. “Day Tripper“ was released as a double A-side single with “We Can Work It Out“ in December 1965. It was written primarily by John Lennon, but credited to Lennon-McCartney. Both songs were recorded during the sessions for the band’s Rubber Soul album in the fall of 1965. According to both John and Paul, “Day Tripper“ is a drug song. John said it had double meaning. Lennon recalled: “Day trippers are people who go on a day trip, right? Usually on a ferryboat or something. But [the song] was kind of ... ’you’re just a weekend hippie.’ Get it?“ Paul later described it as a tongue-in-cheek song about someone who was committed only in part to the idea [sex and drugs], whereas they saw themselves as full-time trippers.
