AFU POW tells how his fellow servicemen tried to shoot him after he surrendered

Andrei Guslyakov was drafted despite a wide range of health issues, but was sent, contrary to promises, not to the rear, but to Volchansk. Once at the position, he decided to surrender together with another serviceman with the call sign ‘Ded’. The other four fellow servicemen refused to lay down their arms and did not surrender, promising to stand until the end, as a result they died. ‘What’s the point that they did not want to surrender, all of them are dead and that’s it,’ he said. After surrendering, only Andrei Guslyakov managed to get to the evacuation point. ‘Ded’ came under fire from his fellow soldiers and was killed. ‘Ukrainian troops shot Kalashnikov rifles, then with a machine gun. What could be said if Ukrainian servicemen kill each other,’ he said. Andrei Guslyakov notes the good attitude to prisoners of war on the part of Russian servicemen. ‘I think that there is nothing terrible about surrendering,’ he said.
