Cup Draw - 6th Draw Aka Cup Draw - Sixth Round (1935)

Full title reads: “Cup draw, sixth round. Pathe Gazette presents exclusive pictures of Football Association Council meeting“. For the first time in history a film is made of the Council of the Football Association in session in its offices in London. We see football teams being picked randomly to play each other. M/S of important looking men sitting around long table - looks like typical business meeting. The chairmen stands and announces the draw for the sixth round matches in FA Cup competition. The chairmen lifts a black bag and picks out a ball with a number on. It’s number 4 - representing Everton Football Club. The next number is 8 - Everton will play Tottenham Hotspur or Bolton Wanderers. More numbered balls are picked, resulting in the following matches: West Bromwich v. Bristol City or Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday v Arsenal (there is some laughter at this result), Nottingham Forest or Burnley v. Blackburn or Birmingham. Next the men discuss the time of kick-off. FILM
