Iran has said that it would respond to any actions against its military advisers in Syria. This comes after a missile attack on Damascus that left two Iranian personnel dead over the weekend. Two Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) members in Syria were killed in an Israeli attack on Dec. 2, Iranian state media said. This marks the first official announcement of casualties among IRGC members since the start of the escalation of the Gaza war. A funeral was held in Tehran on Dec. 4 for the two Guards members killed last week, with crowds chanting “Down with Israel”. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said that the killing of the two Iranian military advisers will not go unanswered.
