Philip Sayce - “Aberystwyth“ | Tone King Imperial MKII Playthrough

Philip Sayce plays “Aberystwyth“ from his 2012 album “Steam Roller“ through the Tone King Imperial MKII plugin. Get your 14-day free trial at and download his preset below. Preset: In a slightly different approach, Philip used the Tone King Imperial MKII plugin as a pedal platform with the following signal chain. Philip used his 1963 Stratocaster “Big Daddy“ connected to an Echoplex EP3, Cesar Diaz Square Face Fuzz, TS9 Tubescreamer, Vox Wah, and Pedal Pawn Gypsy Vibe. After the pedals it went into an Acme Audio Motown direct box, then a BAE 1073 mic pre with no EQ engaged, then into the input channel with the Tone King plugin. For the mix, the Tone King track was sent via hardware insert back through the 1073 with the high pass filter set to 80Hz. Lead guitar recorded live at Station House Studio by Mark Rains.
