The 2019 Remedy Studios game “Control“ melds the paranormal with the mundane in this crazy action-adventure “MetroidVania“ style that was a pleasant surprise.
From the outstanding graphics to the unique gameplay and combat system to the weird storyline and sub storylines throughout the playthrough, Control offers up something familiar enough to be accessible yet different enough to stand out on it’s own.
It also serves as a way to expand the “Remedy Multiverse“ with tie-ins to other Remedy games like Max Payne and, most of all, Alan Wake.
This is my post playthrough review of Control.
