Boston Tea Party - Story of Us

History Channel “Story of Us“ clip showing again why Boston, Massachusetts had become ground-zero for revolution in the 13 colonies. By 1773, Great Britain had repealed nearly all of its unpopular taxes on the colonists, except one: tea. As far as the colonists were concerned, it was too little too late and so a plan was hatched to destroy 3 boatloads of tea sitting in Boston Harbor. In what is considered the most famous act of civil disobedience in American history, the Boston Tea Party displayed to King George III that the American colonists meant business. **DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to this video clip, but only use it as a class resource for instructional purposes.**
