Personal Space (SCI-FI SHORT)

Abandoned on a desolate planet, a lonely voyager must track through the lifeless terrain in search of hope. Filmed in Elk Lake, Oregon. I recently got to direct my first feature length film in Oregon a couple months ago (More updates on that to come!). In the midst of production, Evan Olson (the AC/DIT on the feature) and I decided to film an impromptu short on our Saturday off. There was an incredible volcanic rock wasteland nearby where we were staying, so the two of us hiked up with a camera, DIY spacesuit and made this short. The Spacesuit was made out of a $10 painter’s suit from the local Home Depot, some ratchet straps, a backpack, broken phone case, and thrift store rain boots. The helmet was a $5 purchase from the Oregon local FB shop&swap: a used motorcycle helmet which we painted, weathered and glued a cut up Dr. Pepper liter bottle into for the visor.
