Shock in Italy. Worst flood in a hundred years in Florence

Severe flooding has caused fear among residents of Italy. Arno is currently under special surveillance due to a very serious wave of bad weather that has hit Tuscany since the evening of Thursday, November 2nd. At present, the great river receives copious amounts of water from various tributaries, and the speed of its flow is increasing very rapidly. In the basin of the Sieve River, the largest tributary of the Arno, levels are rising sharply, exceeding the control thresholds at Mugello and reaching the maximum of recent decades in the lower rapids. The Arno flood in Florence is expected to peak after closing on Friday 3 November, with heavy rain and thunderstorms continuing to hit the area: concerns are therefore raised and thoughts inevitably return to 4 November 1966, when the river overflowed its banks, causing untold damage to the city’s historical and artistic heritage. #emiliaromagna #typhoon #rain #florence #flood #tuscany #volcano #earthquake #floods #disasters #storm #news #weather #italy The channel lists natural disasters such as: 1) Emergency geological situations: earthquake, volcanic eruption, mud, landslide, landslide, avalanche; 2) Emergency hydrological situations: flood, tsunami, limnological disaster, flood, flood; 3) Fires: forest fire, peat fire; 4) Meteorological emergencies: Tornado, Cyclone, Blizzard, Hail, Drought, Tornado, Hail, Hurricane, Tsunami, Storm, Thunderstorm, Storm.
