Germany: Police enforce COVID regulations at rally in Saxony town of Bautzen

Police press officer Kai Siebenauger commented Tuesday on a large-scale police operation in Bautzen after significantly more than the permitted ten participants arrived at a registered rally the day earlier. Footage of the rally against COVID measures on Kornplatz showed several hundred participants listening to speeches. Police units also gathered in the square and made loudspeaker announcements that the meeting had to be dispersed. Police cars blocked roads surrounding the area.
