The interview was filmed as a part of the project BEHAVE – SEE Beyond Hate: Learning and Acting to Counter Hate Speech Online in South East Europe. The campaign aimed to reach out to younger social media users in particular, so we could create new social norms in online communication together. The efforts were driven by the awareness that hate speech is degrading the standards of communication and relationships in society, which is harming and dehumanizing us as a community. Therefore, in the context of what we are witnessing in our society today, efforts to curb hate speech are, in our view, of utmost importance in order to foster a tolerant community. The theme and gist of the campaign is #ChooseLove. The message emphasizes that the young people have the power to actively participate in detecting and responding to hate speech, choosing tolerant communication and love over divisive communication and hate.
