Croatia looks to be a leading hydrogen energy producer in Europe

The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley is a project jointly developed by Croatia, Slovenia and the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The European Union has set aside nearly 27 million dollars for the project, which covers the entire supply chain - from producing and storing hydrogen, to its distribution to various sectors. Officials in Zagreb say the project will help shift Croatia to a hydrogen-based economy. It’s also expected to create thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in added value for the participating countries. Across The Balkans, hosted by Nafisa Latic, is TRT World’s programme that focuses specifically on the issues and fault lines shaping Southeast Europe today.
