Coding with QBasic (QB64) - Game: Destiny II (with parallax scrolling)
UPDATE: Version 3 of this game is now available, click the link below to download the latest version (the files names have not changed so they will overwrite the files of an existing instillation).
Version 3 changes:
Added stars to the background and improved the Ship and Missile movements as well as a few minor bug fixes.
Here is a “vector“-type game I wrote in Quick Basic using the QB64 emulator. The game is roughly based on my previous game called Destiny..
Installation Instructions (two options):
1) You can download the game and all its associated files here:
Unzip ’’ into a directory of your choice.
Note: All files extracted from the ’’ should be located in the same directory for the game to run properly.
Use Windows File Explorer to navigate the folder and double click on ’’ to run the game.
You might even want to drag and drop a shortcut to ’’ onto your Desktop.
2) Download and install QB64 emulator at the following URL:
Run QB64 and open ’’ in QB45.
I hope you enjoy the Game and possibly even Basic Programming.
Regards, Jean Ward (RaptorZone)
