When Sage Bhrigu returned and saw the severed head of his wife, he cursed Vishnu to be born on earth several times and suffer the pains of death and worldly life. Vishnu took birth on the Earth in the form of his Avatars and reduce the negativity in the world. 10 avatars also known as ’DASHAVTARAS’ . The list of Dashavatara varies across sects and regions.
