Cab Ride 1920’s Museum Steam Tram: Medemblik - Hoorn 14/5/2022

This multicam ride on the Hanomag engine 26 from 1922 lets you experience a beautiful part of the Netherlands in a unique way. This locomotive has served at the Limburgsche Tramweg Maatschappij and is pulling our train from Medemblik to Hoorn today. After arrival at Hoorn, the locomotive is shunted to the shed, and if you look closely you can see the Arend from 1939, a replica of the first Dutch steam engine, ready for transport back to the Railway Museum after a thorough overhaul. We thank the friendly staff on this train, and as you can see in the film, it is recommended to travel with this train yourself. Don’t forget to eat a portion of poffertjes along the way! More information about the Hoorn-Medemblik steam tram: Oh yes, we have created a separate channel for all future museum rides. In this way we hope to make a larger audience happy with our films. At the moment we are posting all previous films there in chronological order in slightly better quality. Check Cabv
