Sergei Polunin: Hungry Night

Sergei Polunin & “Hungry Night” by Sheila Walsh I made this video a year and a half ago, but wasn’t completely satisfied with it, so hadn’t shared it on YouTube before now. [Written July 27, 2022] I don’t know if anyone else will connect with this song or this video, but it’s a project I needed to finish for myself before I could move on to other montages… 🎬✨ It’s taken me several starts and stops over the past couple of weeks to finish as I looked for the best ways to somehow depict everything I wanted to express with it. This song has been with me for most of my life and it was one of the earliest songs I recall wanting to do something with - to somehow find a way to express what it meant to me and what I felt when I heard it. It was also one of the earliest songs I thought of using for a montage when I first discovered Sergei. For various reasons, it didn’t really work well for me to use it in a full length video.
