Trump verdict: Jury followed facts and law without fear or favour says Manhattan district attorney

Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, thanked the jury for its service after I reached guilty verdicts on all 34 counts in Donald Trump’s hush money trial. Trump, 77, was charged with falsifying business documents to conceal a $130,000 hush money payment to the porn star Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 presidential election. He is the first serving or former US president to be criminally convicted. He will be sentenced on July 11, a week before the Republican convention. Each of the counts carry a maximum of four years in prison. He is likely to appeal against the conviction.
