United States of America (USA).
MS & CU American President Franklin D Roosevelt speaks at dinner. FDR says: Many American owned ships have been sunk on the high seas. Two destroyers were also attacked killing eleven. Loyal men were killed by the Nazis. We have wished to avoid shooting, but the shooting has started and history has recorded who fired the first shot. In the long run however, all that will matter is who fired the last shot. He goes on to tell of a map in his possession which tells of proposed reorganisation of S. America and Panama after Hitler’s conquest. This will never happen, he says. We stand ready. He is stirred by the Russian resistance and the aid from Britain and U.S. in the way of equipment and medical supplies will continue.
N.B. This speech is fairly cut around - Hail to the Chief comes half way through.
