We Had To Get The Whole Crew Out For This Large Abandoned Mine

This is an interesting gold mine in that it dates back to California’s Gold Rush, but has been worked off and on repeatedly since then. So, you have a mix of workings dating back more than 150 years right up to work that was done within the past couple of years (and, of course, everything in between). Given the age of the mine, we don’t have production numbers, but rumors and implications of rich ore from the earliest surviving reports of the mine suggest that substantial amounts of gold were recovered from this operation. Given the complexity of the workings of this mine, we brought the whole crew out (yes, even Mr. McBride was present) to cover the large surface and underground workings. So, while some of us were underground, others were combing the surface for the interesting things left behind there. This video is a result of everyone’s contribution.
