THE SWEET - CO-CO: 1971 (with words)

Co-Co - What a song!! Simple and very catchy. After just once - you’ll be able to sing along to the chorus . . another Chinn & Chapman masterpiece!! Session muscians were used for the backing track to both Co-Co and Funny Funny - so it says on the info, but I’m sure I recognise Andy’s back strumming technique, and the bass playing is more like Steve’s usual high quality, clean fretting . . . any one else agree? I’d say they definitely didn’t play on Funny Funny though . . . very different styles. It’s well known that Sweet hated this and Funny Funny and have only just begun playing them again at concerts (well, Andy and Steve have with their own versions of The Sweet - RIP Mick and Brian) And Mick was known to call this song - “Ho chi ka ka F***ing ho!!!“ (quoted from Steve’s book - worth reading BTW!!).
