Witherfall - Insidious (Official Video - )

“After a crazy writing and recording spree that had us crisscrossing the USA and working in five different states. We present to you perhaps the most involved Witherfall production to date. “Insidious“ first single from our 4th full length album. The song was birthed at four in the morning under a foggy full moon in a stream of consciousness with the central theme and musical landscape written/improvised in a single take. The contrasting consonance and dissonance in the composition takes listeners on a decent into madness. The song was recorded with all analog instruments and was Co-Produced by Zeuss. The video produced by both Bradley Cooper and Cig Neutron represents the pervasive malaise and general sense of division in our current culture. We wish we could say no puppets were harmed during the making of this video...“ Witherfall is: Joseph Michael - Vocals, Keyboards Jake Dreyer - Guitar Anthony Crawfford - Bass Chris Tsaganeas - Drums & Percussion Gerry Hirshfeld - Keyboards Produced By Zeuss, Joseph Michael & Jake Dreyer Mixed and Mastered by Zeuss Credits: Directed and Edited by Cig Neutron, Bradley Cooper and KASL DP’s KASL & Alex Velasco Additional Color & Edits: Tiffany Warren Puppeteers - KASL, Cig Neutron, Tiffany Warren, Dustin Brown Blood FX - Or Mussman of Nocturnal Designz Puppeteers and Dancers - Sin Twisted & Rannie Au Go Go Hacking Screen - Visual Nine PA - Don Adams Three Am Films WITHERFALL Insidious Lyrics Beating down the iron gates, a way of life restored The insidious, they lie in wait among the fallen hordes The fools may tempt you with their lies, but They offer only fear Into the fire we make our way, the storm will pass, and all will be made clear… All Will Be Made Clear Insidious You treat your life like a game, but you should only feel shame Insidious I’ll turn my back on your world and hope to find your remains When I return. Staring down our enemies, down paths we can’t avoid The indifferent in society living only to ignore They live to cloud your mind with doubt, But you must see this through Into the fire we make our way, the weak will die, then they will come for you… They will come for you Insidious You treat your life like a game, but you should only feel shame Insidious I’ll turn my back on your world and hope to find your remains When I return. Hallowed out from within, the rats will show you no remorse As your life is spread thin, your regrets growing evermore You try to lift yourself from above their maze of lies Only to find yourself maligned and alone… an unrecognizable reflection Insidious You treat your life like a game, but you should only feel shame Insidious I’ll turn my back on your world and hope to find your remains When I return. (c) 2023 Deathwave Records & Nocturnes and Requiems ASCAP Witherfall was formed in Los Angeles in 2013. Joseph Michael (also of Sanctuary fame) and Jake Dreyer (ex-Iced Earth/Demons & Wizards) built their new band around drummer Adam Sagan (RIP) and accomplished bassist Anthony Crawford (Allan Holdsworth, CHON). Since then, the group have released three highly regarded albums: Nocturnes and Requiems (2017), A Prelude to Sorrow (2018), and Curse of Autumn (2021) and an ep Vintage (2019). Not one to cut corners, Witherfall enlisted famed drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson) on Curse of Autumn, ensuring the foundations of singles “As I Lie Awake,” “The Other Side of Fear,” and “The River” were second to none. On the new album Minnemann returns to the fold with an album-only appearance, while drummer Chris Tsaganeas (Wax Owls) and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hirschfeld (Willie Nelson)
