British Racing Motors - The Chrysalis

The first of three “new” 16-cylinder P15 V16 BRM racing cars, built to commemorate the 70th anniversary of BRM (British Racing Motors), was shaken down at Blyton Park racetrack in Lincolnshire last week in the presence of its new owner, John Owen, ahead of its on-track debut at Goodwood Revival. The Revival event will include a special track parade of BRM racing cars on each day, including the P15 V16. The shake-down marked the realisation of a boyhood dream for John Owen, 82, the son of the then BRM Formula 1 team principal, who vowed one day to bring the iconic sound of the supercharged V16 back to Britain’s racetracks and to see them race again in front of packed grandstands.
