Arizona Police Shoot Man After He Fled From His Arrest and Exchanged Gunfire With Officers

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Tucson, Arizona — On February 10, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., Marana police officers stopped 29-year-old Tobin Pico, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee, for traffic violations in the 4100 Block of West Ina Road. The officers suspected Pico was impaired, and a DUI investigation led them to arrest Pico on suspicion of aggravated DUI. As officers were placing Pico in handcuffs, he escaped and started fleeing southward over several traffic lanes. Officers quickly realized during the chase that Pico had a handgun. The video shows him firing the weapon while walking along the Canyon Del Oro river path as more officers converged on the area. That is when an MPD officer fired his rifle. Pico dropped to the ground but got up and continued running. The officers then exchanged fire with Pico and he was hit.
