The Journey Once More | Part I: From Beginning to End

I must apologize for not visiting you as often as I should. It’s just… difficult. Right now though, I don’t mean to be a burden on you, but I do need a favor. And this is admittedly no small task. I know I’ve already asked so much of you in the past, your ability to view and catalog memories is still beyond my comprehension. I do not intend to abuse this power, I can promise you that much. However, this assignment is absolutely imperative. It must be done properly, be handled with care, and you’re the only one who can do so. I’m sure of it. My student, her name is Twilight Sparkle, you... probably know of her already. She is nearly ready to begin the next major step of her Journey. And I won’t lie, I am so incredibly anxious about it. Many things will change within Equestria, I’m sure of it. I don’t mean to take up your time, so I’ll get straight to the point. I need you to catalog the memories of Twilight and her friends. In fact, any life that’s been impacted by them… consider their memories worthy of cataloging as well. This is the only way I can ensure that she’ll be properly prepared for her new position. It’s not going to be easy... but this is all I can do. I wish there was another way to go about this, I just hope that no one thinks I’m being forceful. If all goes well though, I do wholeheartedly feel that... things will change for the better. Being that you can see all of Equestria’s memories, you likely already know this, but… My sister is back from the moon. Luna... she’s really back... I wanted you to hear it from me, you deserve that much at least. Every time I look at her, I’m still in disbelief. I had already accepted that I’d never see her again. Twilight Sparkle and her friends, they somehow manage to achieve the impossible. But given the life I’ve lived, and knowing where things will go... the memories of these six ponies and those they interact with... it all must be preserved. Memoria, I am aware that you lack the ability to retain memories of your own, so I will leave it at this. I imagine your... unique eyesight doesn’t help with that. I did cast a spell on this letter to help you read it more easily. I’m hoping it worked. I suppose, when the time is right, I’ll know if this letter has reached you. Time and magic do work a bit differently in your realm, but a simple spell like this should hold up fine. One last thing~ Nighttime Spectacular, if you happen to catch wind of this letter, please continue with whatever it is you’re already doing. This assignment is specifically for Memoria, and I don’t need to overload you with more tasks than you already have. The ponies of Equestria may not remember the work you put in, but please know that I am grateful. Luna most definitely is as well.
