Can’t help falling in love | XiYao | 陈情令 The Untamed

SPOILERS! Do NOT watch unless you have seen/read the whole series! It wasn’t my plan to make a XiYao edit but oh man did this song speak to me. I think Meng Yao/Jin Guangyao is a super interesting character and Zanjin Zhu plays him BEAUTIFULLY. The way he manages to convey the stiff, polite mask while also the turmoil underneath? Perfection. Speaking of perfection, I do recommend checking out the show reel at Zanjin Zhu’s twitter. It’s stunning and I’m honestly surprised I just didn’t add the whole thing, like I thought I would when I started. It had, however, give away to equally heartwarming and heartbreaking scenes with Lan Xichen. Seriously, we don’t deserve this pure character. Yet I am thankful for the angst their twisted relationship gives us. Noticed youtube messed with the saturation in my last video so I kept this one more simple.
