Whirl of Life (Just the Dance Scenes) 1915

Vernon and Irene Castle, the dance sensations of the age, made a semi-autobiographical movie with some melodrama thrown in. For a movie about dancers, there’s surprisingly few dance scenes, but what there is, is here. There’s a bit of One-Step, some Maxixe and then a pastiche of One-Step/Castle Walk, including a rare example of African Americans dancing.
