XB-70 VALKYRIE

On this episode of Funky Plane Fridays, we’re taking a look at the XB-70 Valkyrie. The XB-70 was the ultimate result in the USAF’s quest for the fastest bomber ever. However, increasing costs and the complex design put the program in doubt. When Gary Powers got shot down in his U-2, it became clear that simply flying high and fast wasn’t gonna cut it anymore.
