Freiheit – “On The Run To Be Free” (WTG) 1988

Written by Stefan Zauner, Aron Strobel, Tim Touchton and Curtis Briggs. Produced by Armand Volker. “Keeping The Dream Alive” is probably the best known song by German group, Münchener Freiheit, whose name means Munich liberty in English. This, along with “On The Run To Be Free” is also a track on the group’s fifth album, “Fantasy”. CBS pulled off two tracks, “Kissed You In The Rain” and “Moonlight” for a UK single in February 1988, prior to “Keeping The Dream Alive” which followed that November. The German language title of the album was “Fantasie” and the songs were written by group members, Stefan Zauner and Aron Strobel. The English lyrics were added by Tim Touchton and Curtis Briggs.
