In fact, I see many who are crippled by these types of decisions, whether before they begin their painting, or DURING the painting process. This is completely counter-productive. The goal of this video is to put color in a USEFUL CONTEXT, thus removing a lot of the worry people face. To demonstrate this, I’ll paint the classic David sculpture using an extremely random assortment of colors, as well as the previous colors on my dirty palette’s mixing areas. To be fully honest, I DID develop a decently good intuition as to what colors work and how, and I am following very basic principles of composition, but I am using very random colors for most of this demo. I hope you find it helpful! 😊🙏🏼 Cropped Reference photo & sketch stage can e found here: Original reference photo: Time-Stamps: 00:00 - Pre-wetting Paper 01:00 - 1st Layer / Underpainting 04:42 - 2nd Layer / Core Shadows 08:49 - Check Out The Courses! 09:31 - Nose & Lips 12:20 - Pre-Wetting for Smooth Edges 15:24 - Wet-In-Wet Curls 16:47 - Background Wash 18:54 - Final Result & Conclusion! - Liron ------- Music is Still-Life by Anbr 🎼 * Please note this disclosure - Links to Amazon and other websites may be affiliate links.
