Gigliola Cinquetti - Non ho l’età (1964) (lyrics)

Non ho l’età (per amarti), Italian for “I’m not old enough (to love you)“, was the winning song in the Eurovision Song Contest 1964, held in Copenhagen. It was performed in Italian by Gigliola Cinquetti representing Italy. Cinquetti was sixteen years old, making her the youngest Eurovision winner in history until 1986. As with the first ever contest in 1956, there is no known recording of the show. This is said to be as a result of a fire at the studios of Danish broadcaster DR in the 1970s and the fact that none of the other broadcasters recorded the entire show. A short recording of the winning reprise survives as does the audio recording of the contest.  Source:
