Odds And Ends (1924)

Introductory intertitle reads: “Anti-waste! - Politicians preach it, but mother knows best how to practise it. A gingham remnant - a little daughter who always needs a new pinafore - suggest a lightning “Anti-waste“ campaign to Eve’s inventive mind.“ A little girl sits on a table in a parlour. Her mother shows her a piece of waste Gingham fabric that she will make into a dress for her. She measures it against the child then cuts the fabric. She sits at the sewing machine with the child looking over her shoulder. She sews the fabric with her foot-pedal machine and the “odd“ bit of Gingham “ends“ up as a charming pinafore. Mother puts the pinafore on over the daughter’s dress. The girl is twirled around so we can see all views of the finished item. Very cute mother and daughter stuff.
