*Fanmade Detroit Red Wings @ Colorado Avalanche 1997 Western Conference Finals, Game 2, 5/17/97 Down 1-0 in the series, and 2-0 in Game 2, the Red Wings come back to tie the game with goals late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd. Then with less than 5 minutes to go, the captain scores on a bank shot off Patrick Roy to give the Wings the lead. Shortly after, Nick Lidstrom prevents the Avs from tying the game, and later in the shift, Darren McCarty seals the game for Detroit. This game, much like the March 26th showdown, was a defining moment for this team that season
