This city has been under Russian occupation for a long time. But the actions of Ukrainian forces and partisan groups supporting Kiev in recent days have shown us that things can change in Mariupol. According to Ukrainian military analysts, Kiev’s troops had plunged the Russians into a period of collapse in the Russian stronghold of Urozhaine. According to this view, if the Ukrainians were able to pass through or around the Urozhaine, that would put them 50 miles from the two major seaports of Berdiansk and Mariupol on the Azov Sea. And with every mile they advance, the Ukrainians will have a chance to put more pressure on the Russian supply lines.
