King plays air cricket shot with Australians

The King has attended the start of the Australian Legacy Torch Relay at Buckingham Palace to mark the beginning of the London leg of the charity’s relay race in their centenary year. On receiving a torch, His Majesty played an air cricket shot - a light-hearted nod to England and Australia’s shared love of cricket. The relay began in France five days ago and will finish in Melbourne, Victoria in October 2023, after travelling 50,000 km through 100 locations. The Australian charity Legacy supports veterans, spouses and children of the Australian Defence Force. Report by Iain Jones.
