Black - I Just Grew Tired

It seems like they’re dropping like flies - I’ve often wondered if Colin Vearncombe performing under the moniker Black ever got tired of singing Wonderful Life ... Much like James Blunt forever blighted by his best seller You’re Beautiful. Its a beautiful song full of plangent hope and european irony and far outshone anything else this apparently charming and amiable man ever did. I’m sure some would beg to differ. I have a special copy of Black’s album which comes with an extra ep of unreleased tracks. Although it very rarely gets played, Wonderful Life is a sneaky earworm that every now and then sticks out its clammy head to nibble at your Thalamus. Alcohol consumption is not recommended. Here’s to you Colin. RIP.
