Trophy Hunting - A Barbaric Sport

Four years ago, Cecil was callously shot with a bow and arrow by American dentist Walter Palmer. Mortally wounded, he was tracked and only finally killed several hours later, by a second arrow fired by Palmer. Cecil’s death caused worldwide public outcry, bringing the brutal sport of trophy hunting to the fore. Trophy hunting is the killing of an animal for sport or pleasure. Born Free is opposed to the killing of any animal for sport or pleasure, and we want trophy hunting banned. Together we can end this barbaric sport. Animals belong in the wild, not on a wall – and we want a future where no animal suffers the agonising death of Cecil the Lion. We do hope you want this too.
