Hexakopter - 3D Mapping Demo

A short video showing my progress on 3D SLAM using a heavily modified Hexakopter from MikroKopter as part of my PhD. Website: The first part of the video shows the UAV flying around scanning the room with an on-board laser scanner, the blue cubes shows where it thinks it is based on the sensor data. The second part of the video shows what can be done with the data afterwards (not yet automated). Demo of autonomous flight:
