All About Prosthetic Feet

Notes & Links: Equipment Grants: Ossur Flex Run - This is a running foot. It’s considered K4, and insurance won’t cover these, however there are a ton of opportunities for grants and scholarships to help pay for these. I got mine through the Challenged Athletes Foundation, but there are many programs. Amputee Blade Runners is another well-known organization helping athletes get access to more dynamic feet. Biodapt Versafoot - This is a highly specialized foot for activities where ankle flexion is important. I use mine for snowboarding and mountain biking. Many athletes use them for weight lifting so that movements like squats are easier. Like the Flex Run, it’s a K4 foot, and insurance will not cover it, but grant and scholarship programs can definitely help.
