Now In Dubai || Super Storm Tore Up Buildings, Residential & Vehicles In Sharjah Heavy rain, thunderstorms and dust storms hit Dubai on Saturday afternoon and the rainy weather will continue into next week. Residents reported hearing thunder as dust covered parts of the emirate as wind speeds increased. The National Center of Meteorology recorded heavy rainfall across Dubai including Al Barsha, Al Barari, Emirates Road and Al Qudra Road. The NCM has issued a weather advisory for parts of Dubai and Al Ain, telling the public that “dangerous weather conditions are expected“. More rainfall and strong winds were reported in Sharjah on Saturday afternoon. A shop window in Sharjah was shattered by strong winds, leaving the glass on the floor. Strong gusts of wind caused damage to numerous other properties in the emirate. The uncertain conditions came after heavy rains hit Al Ain on Friday. The video showed motorists navigating in a downpour in Garden City in the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi Police temporarily lowered the speed limit on the Dubai to Al Ain road from 140km/h to 120km/h and urged motorists to “be careful due to rainy weather“.
