Open right hemicolectomy with complete mesocolic excision (CME) and cirical view concept

In the patient shown, we anticipated a large cecal tumor with infiltration of the SMA, why we planned an open procedure. Surprisingly, however, the tumor was completely mobile. I used the situation to perform the operation completely like the laparoscopic standard procedure (Open-Book and Critical View concept) as published by our group.
