Training at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium in Athens
FC Barcelona work out in the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens ahead of Ernesto Valverde’s team’s match against Olympiacos at CET on Tuesday. The game is the fourth round of the Champions League group stage and if the blaugranas win they could book their place in the round of 16. The session saw all 20 of the players who travelled to Greece take part which included the available first teamers as well as Adrià Ortolá and Carles Aleñá from Barça B.
The squad completed their preparations for the game. Prior to the session, Paulinho became a father and the players all congratulated the Brazilian at the start of the workout. Also, Mascherano trained with the rest of the group despite not having been deemed fit enough to play. Prior to training, Valverde and Deulofeu spoke to the media.

El FC Barcelona ya ha pisado este lunes por la noche el escenario del duelo entre el Olympiacos y los hombres de Ernesto Valverde este martes ( horas). Un duelo correspondiente a la jornada 4 de la fase de grupos de la Liga de Campeones y que podría servir a los azulgranas para obtener el billete para los octavos de final. El Georgios Karaiskakis ha acogido el entrenamiento del primer equipo previo al enfrentamiento con el Olympiacos.
La sesión, que ha contado con los 20 hombres que han viajado a tierras griegas -los disponibles del primer equipo y Adrià Ortolá y Carles Aleñá del Barça B- ha servido para preparar los últimos detalles. Antes de la sesión, Paulinho ha sido padre y los jugadores han felicitado al brasileño al inicio del entrenamiento. Una sesión que se ha celebrado tras la rueda de prensa de Valverde y Deulofeu y en la que se ha podido ver a Mascherano ejercitándose con el resto del grupo a pesar de no disponer del alta médica.
